Combatting the ubiquitous falsehoods of satanically inspired misinformation is an obligation entrusted to every called-out saint, whether a first generation, second generation, or third generation church member. But the sword of truth cannot be properly used without conviction. We are all responsible for our own faith and are required to cultivate a mature understanding of why we believe. We must remember our responsibility to work to make sure we are convicted, heeding God's caution to the Israelites who became complacent and forgetful (Deuteronomy 6: 10-12; Hebrews 3: 16-19). As God's chosen saints, we are aware of the "lightbulb" moment when God started to work with us, altering events in our lives for His divine purpose. No matter how experienced or well versed we feel we are in the faith, Satan and his demons are constantly working to deceive us. Consequently, we must continue to ask ourselves why we believe and why we do what we do, making our calling sure (II Peter 1:10), that we may continue to grow in truth and righteousness rather than stumbling, so that upon Christ's return He might say to us, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
