The descendants of Joseph, through his sons Manasseh and Ephraim, are linked to the Anglosphere nations. America descends from Manasseh, embodying forgetfulness by focusing on the future, forming a great single nation as prophesied in Genesis 48:19. Ephraim's descendants, including Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, form a multitude of nations, fruitful and productive, building vast empires. Jacob's blessing granted Joseph's line Israel's inheritance, fulfilling God's promises of wealth and power to Abraham. Though separate, Manasseh and Ephraim share language and culture, collaborating to dominate global affairs, pushing their influence worldwide. However, their modern actions often stray from God's way, promoting globalism contrary to Joseph's separation from worldly ways.

Sorry, I Forgot

CGG Weekly by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

The descendants of Joseph, the biblical patriarch, are believed to form the Anglosphere nations, including Britain, America, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Specifically, America is seen as descending from Joseph's firstborn, Manasseh, while the other nations are linked to his second son, Ephraim. Jacob's prophecy in Genesis 48:19 envisions two major world powers, with Manasseh as a single great nation and Ephraim as a multitude of nations. The United States of America stands as the greatest single nation in wealth and power the world has ever witnessed, while the British Empire, in its time, was even greater in scope and control over global politics and economy. These brother nations, united by common ancestry and language, have collaborated for nearly two centuries to dominate world affairs. The names of Joseph's sons, as recorded in Genesis 41:50-52, carry significant meaning. Joseph named his firstborn Manasseh, meaning forgetful or making forgetful, because God had made him forget his toil and his father's house. His second son, Ephraim, meaning fruitful or productive, was named so because God had caused Joseph to be fruitful in the land of his affliction. Joseph himself, meaning He the LORD will add, implies a blessing from God. Through Jacob's blessing, Joseph received the firstborn's portion of Israel's inheritance, and it was primarily through his descendants that God's physical promises of wealth and power to Abraham were fulfilled. The people of Ephraim have indeed been fruitful and productive, far beyond their numbers and the size of their homeland. From the small isle of England, they sent ships and armies to seize and govern distant lands and peoples for generations, building a vast trade and industrial empire that became the envy of nations. Similarly, the descendants of Manasseh in America exhibit a tendency to forget the past and focus on the future. From their early colonial days, they sought to leave behind religious and governmental persecution, as well as economic disadvantage, forging a new life in the wilderness of America. This forgetfulness became ingrained in the national character, reinforced by geographic isolation from Europe, leading Americans to consider themselves a distinct and unique people, rejecting European forms of government and adopting a new form of American republicanism. However, this Manassite forgetfulness also has a downside, as it leads to repeating the same lessons by refusing to remember past experiences, resulting in cyclical patterns in American history where mistakes are repeated across generations.

Searching for Israel (Part Eleven): Manasseh Found

Article by Charles Whitaker

For centuries, the two tribes of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, dwelt together in the British Isles. In the early 1600s, God took action to separate Manasseh from Ephraim, leading the people of Manasseh to move from England to the coastlands of Jamestown in AD 1607. Fleeing religious persecution, others followed, founding Plymouth thirteen years later, and more came to the New World, forming thirteen colonies that grew into the independent United States of America by the end of the 1700s. These early Manassite settlers and their descendants became the great peoples promised in Genesis 48:19, forming the single nation God promised in Genesis 35:11 would descend from Jacob. Through Moses, God prophesied that Joseph would push the peoples to the end of the earth, and America, like her brother Ephraim (Britain), did so by moving west under the cry of manifest destiny, pushing back various powers and native peoples across vast territories to the Hawaiian Islands, Alaska, the Philippines, and beyond. To the early American settlers of Manasseh, the land was a magnificent tapestry of resources—green hills with primeval forests, black fertile soil, blue waters teeming with fish, golden fields of grain, and a glimmering abundance of minerals and oil. Using these resources provided by God, the folk of Manasseh built the American phenomenon, a rich and powerful nation surpassing even Solomon's Kingdom in scope. Despite the birthright blessings received due to Joseph's faithfulness, modern-day Ephraim and Manasseh have used their wealth and influence to push a way of life contrary to God's way, promoting globalism rather than separating from worldly ways as Joseph did. Jacob adopted Joseph's sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, as his own for inheritance purposes, subdividing the tribe of Joseph into two parts with a double portion. The Scriptures often treat Ephraim and Manasseh as connected, a two-in-one arrangement, and today, England and America, as separate nations, share a common language, traditions, laws, culture, and institutions. They act in concert as leaders of Western civilization, collaborating to push their transportation, education, medical technology, government, economics, information, and entertainment on the world, with key financial centers in London and New York. Though separate, they traditionally act together to promote their culture and lifestyle to the ends of the earth.

Globalism (Part Three): America Runs Over the Wall

'Prophecy Watch' by Charles Whitaker

God has orchestrated a detailed plan to institute globalism in these last days, specifically designating Ephraim and Manasseh, descendants of Joseph, to lead this movement. From the beginning, He promised them great national wealth as foretold in Genesis 49:25-26, though He delayed this bestowal until around AD 1800. This timing aligns with the initial stage of globalization, when Ephraim began pushing the nations toward a one-world government, establishing an empire upon which the sun never set. In Genesis 49:22, within Jacob's final words to his sons, God prophesies that Joseph will be growth-oriented and restive, not content with the status quo, running over the wall as he attempts to extend his influence beyond the isolated lands God gave him. This extension manifests culturally, economically, and militarily. God knew that carnal Israel, powerful yet forgetful of Him, would use this wealth, prestige, and power in movements against Him, a rejection seen in Israel's call for a king in I Samuel 8, showing their discontent with His direct rule. In modern terms, America, identified with Manasseh, stays within her walls under a policy of isolationism, but overclimbs these boundaries when adopting internationalism, intervening in other nations' affairs, marking a historical shift from isolation to deep entanglement in global military and economic matters.
