The descendants of ancient Israel, dispersed through war, captivity and migration, eventually settled in northwestern Europe, from where some colonized distant lands, forming great nations such as the United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand. Though most modern Israelites remain unaware of their identity and destiny, these nations lead the world both in wealth and technological achievement and in crime, addiction, divorce, sexual disease, and misuse of technology. This paradox of progress alongside evil illustrates the principle that a spring cannot yield both fresh and bitter water; the abundance of sin defiles the good these nations produce, inviting the curses outlined for disobedience—cursing, confusion, and destruction—until the land itself, defiled by sin, vomits out its inhabitants, just as it did with the nations before ancient Israel and as it did with Israel through Assyrian conquest. Modern Israel will likewise reap devastation through war, famine, pestilence, and captivity, with a mighty, ancient nation—understood to be modern Assyria (Germany), leading the end-time revived Holy Roman Empire—executing this judgment. Estimates suggest roughly a third of the people will die by pestilence and famine, a third by the sword, and a third scattered into captivity. Repentance could avert this, as it did for Nineveh, but the peoples' hardened attitudes make such repentance unlikely apart from severe affliction. Yet this judgment is not the end of the story. God disciplines Israel as a father disciplines a stubborn child, tearing them so that in their affliction they will seek Him. This period, called Jacob's Trouble, will end in healing and restoration: God will break their bondage, raise up David as king under Jesus Christ, and gather the scattered remnant in a second exodus from the nations where they were dispersed. This regathering brings Israel into the wilderness of the peoples for purging and covenant renewal, leading to their conversion so they may finally fulfill their original calling as a model nation, teaching the world God's ways. In the Millennium, restored Israel will dwell securely in its own land, rebuilding ruined cities, enjoying agricultural abundance, and raising children in righteousness with a pure language for worship. The twelve apostles will rule the tribes under King David, the land will be divided among them, and a new Temple with Levitical priesthood will teach the difference between the holy and unclean. These conditions extend beyond the Millennium into the new heavens and new earth, where Israel's name and descendants endure forever, bringing joy to God eternally. Ultimately, "all Israel shall be saved," though many will die in the coming chastening before the humbled remnant pleads for and receives God's forgiveness and redemption. Those preparing now, growing in grace and purifying themselves, may serve as resurrected teachers guiding humbled Israel toward repentance and God's Kingdom.

Those in the church of God hold a unique position to grasp developments that have unfolded over several generations within the body of the Israelitish people, an insight granted specifically so that it may be put to good use. This understanding rests on belief in God and His Word, which establishes that God's moral and spiritual laws remain in force and identifies the Israelitish people along with their locations. These are the people through whom God has chosen to work, conferring a tremendous advantage that does not arise from any inherent superiority but solely from that divine selection. Ephesians 1 further reveals that God has made His will known to the church, supplying additional insight into prophecy and the identity of the adversary who leads the world against God and His purpose. As a result, the church can recognize the ongoing crash of the Israelitish nations into a morass of immorality and can correctly connect the dots that others lack the means to join. These truths enable the church to glorify God even amid the surrounding decline, whereas those without such links to truth remain unable to act effectively despite their concern.

God placed the Israelitish people in Central and Northwest Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa as His chosen inheritance for the times of the end. Two hundred and fifty years ago the land of the United States stood as a vast, virgin gift from God to these peoples, far exceeding in potential wealth the ancient Promised Land given to the Israelites. Moses records in Deuteronomy 32:7-9 that the Most High set the boundaries of the nations according to the number of the children of Israel, establishing Jacob as the portion of the Lord. The descendants of Joseph, Britain and the United States, were positioned to supply leadership to the other Israelitish families in the manner of their forefather Joseph. Instead their attention has turned almost entirely away from the presence of God, leaving them unable to fulfill that role amid growing internal strife. This failure contributes directly to the profound disunity now driving the nation toward open conflict, as spiritual apostasy replaces obedience to the Creator and allows confusion to dominate national life.
