Ephraim and Manasseh: Half-Egyptians?
Sermonette by Richard T. RitenbaughWith God, racial identity and racial 'purity' are not the top priority. If we focus upon spiritual Israel rather than the race, this issue should not matter.
The Wise Shall Understand
Commentary by Mark SchindlerThe alliance between the United States and the United Kingdom, as seen in historical events like the D-Day invasion of 1944, reflects the blessings God has promised through Ephraim and Manasseh. These two nations, standing shoulder to shoulder, mounted the largest sea invasion in history to liberate Europe from tyranny, showcasing their unique and enduring relationship. The hand of God is evident in the fulfillment of His plan and purpose, directing the steps of nations through pivotal moments in history. The Battle of Kinsale in 1601, where weather and topography thwarted Spanish domination, allowed Great Britain to rise as a ruler of the seas and expand into a company of nations, aligning with God's prophetic expansion. Similarly, during World War II, the Allied forces of Ephraim and Manasseh landed on Normandy's beaches under challenging weather conditions, and the British forces were rescued from Dunkirk under protective fog, demonstrating divine intervention in historical outcomes.
Sorry, I Forgot
CGG Weekly by Richard T. RitenbaughThe tribe of Ephraim, descended from Joseph's second son, holds a significant place among the descendants of the biblical patriarch Joseph, who are believed to compose the Anglosphere nations, including Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Jacob's prophecy in Genesis 48:19 foresees Ephraim as a multitude of nations, reflecting their historical dominance as seen in the vast scope of the British Empire, upon which the sun never set. These nations, bound by common ancestry with their brother nation Manasseh, have worked together for nearly two centuries to dominate world affairs. The name Ephraim, meaning fruitful or productive, as explained by Joseph in Genesis 41:52, aligns with the character of these peoples. From the small isle of England, they sent ships and armies to seize and govern far-flung lands, using the resources to build a vast trade and industrial empire that became the envy of nations. The people of Ephraim have indeed been fruitful and productive, far out of proportion to their numbers and the size of their homeland, living up to their prophetic naming.
The Nation of Israel—Biblical Israel? (Part Two)
'Prophecy Watch' by Pat HigginsThe tribe of Ephraim, as part of the house of Israel, holds a significant place in the biblical prophecies concerning the last days. In Genesis 49, alongside Judah, the tribe of Joseph, which includes Ephraim and Manasseh, is given prominence among the brothers. Jacob declares in Genesis 48:5 that Ephraim and Manasseh are to be considered as his own sons, equal to Reuben and Simeon, indicating their importance among the tribes. The prophecy in Genesis 49:26 highlights Joseph as a leader among his brothers, a trait that extends to Ephraim and Manasseh, suggesting that their descendants would hold significant roles in the nations they form in the last days. As the prophecies about Judah point to identifiable characteristics in modern times within Western democracies, the same expectation applies to Ephraim, indicating that their descendants are to be found among notable nations today, fulfilling the divine predictions given through Jacob.
