Psychological Manipulation

Commentary by John W. Ritenbaugh (1932-2023)

Subtle influences seek to continually shape us; our mental state is influenced by our environment, seeking to move us in a direction away from God.

Communication and Leaving Babylon (Part One)

'Personal' from John W. Ritenbaugh

We are open to invisible communication from the spirit world—communication designed to conform us to the course of this world. Recognizing it is vital.

Behind Enemy Lines (Part Two)

CGG Weekly by Clyde Finklea

Satan is the opponent of God, of believers, and of all that is right and good. He may appear as 'an angel of light', but this is only a façade.

More Excellent Sacrifice

Sermon by Clyde Finklea

In the discussion of worship and spiritual influence, it is evident that yielding to the wrong spirit can lead to rejection by God. Cain, in his worship, was influenced by the spirit of satan, who is described as the prince of the power of the air, working in the children of disobedience. This spirit led Cain to harbor bitterness and jealous envy, ultimately resulting in evil deeds, which caused God to reject his worship. Similarly, those who do not connect with God's Holy Spirit are inevitably linked to the spirit of satan, the ruler of this world, which manifests in the works they produce. True worship, as commanded by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, must be in spirit and truth, yielding solely to God's Spirit to be acceptable to Him. If we conform to this world, walking according to the course set by the prince of the power of the air, we fail to transform and renew our minds, thus missing the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Imagination

Sermon by John O. Reid

Satan works on us through our imagination; he broadcasts images to our minds. To counter this, we must resist him, practice humility and draw close to God.

The Christian and the World (Part Four)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

Help in following God comes from displacing the love for the world with the love for God, and setting our hearts on spiritual treasures instead of earthly ones.

Darts

Sermon by John O. Reid

We must put on the full armor of God to stand against the demonic principalities, an army of 1/3 of the angels, bent on the destruction of God's elect.

Satan (Part 3)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

The spirit in man is initially good, but capable of being influenced by the spirit of this world, and surcharged with Satan's negative attitudes.

Warfare!

Sermon by John O. Reid

We must don the whole armor of God, using His spiritual weapons to bring every thought into obedience to Christ, destroying the enemy's footholds.

Behind Enemy Lines: Lucifer, Helel, and Satan

Sermonette by Clyde Finklea

Satan was first named Helel, or 'son of the dawn.' When Jerome translated the Hebrew into Latin, he named him Lucifer, or light-bringer, a title of Christ!

Eradicating Humanity

CGG Weekly by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

Ever since God created the first man and woman in Eden, Satan has been interested in nothing else but the eradication of humanity from his "proper domain."

The Holy Spirit and the Trinity (Part Two)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

There are varieties of spirit, motivating people to 'go with the flow' and conform to a sheep-like mob psychology. Satan's spirit encourages sinfulness.

Frequencies

Sermon by Ryan McClure

Human bodies have frequencies and react to incoming frequencies. As we live in the Babylonian system, Satan's frequencies penetrate into our nervous systems.

Disinterestedness: Our Spiritual Iron Dome

Sermon by David F. Maas

Solomon used self-reflexiveness to detach himself and remain disinterested to objectively describe the consequences of an array of life's experiences.

The Christian and the World (Part Five)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

The prince of the power of the air is responsible for influencing the zeitgeist (dominant mindset of the time), pulling us away from God and His law.

Conspiracy Theory (Part Sixteen)

Commentary by John W. Ritenbaugh (1932-2023)

Satan has been immensely successful, taking control of secular education at major universities via the philosophies entrenched in God-defying humanism.

Communication and Coming Out of Babylon (Part 1)

Feast of Tabernacles Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

The demons who already inhabit the earth look upon us as interlopers. We need to monitor our thought impulses, lest we be bothered by demons.

God's Rest (Part 2)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

The two principal robbers of peace are pride and the drive to have complete control of our lives. Discontent and imagined victimization led Adam and Eve into sin.

The Christian and the World (Part Six)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

Clear vision lights the way spiritually. If the eye of the heart is aimed at spiritual treasure and the glory of God, it will remain singly focused.

Satan (Part 4)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

Satan uses lies and disinformation to promote self-satisfaction over obedience to God. The way to the kingdom is through self-denial, even suffering unjustly.

Anticipating the Enemy

Sermon by Martin G. Collins

We become vulnerable to Satan when we allow pride to consume us, cozy up to false doctrine, toy with the paranormal, or let down in prayer and Bible study
