Israel: Future
'Prophecy Watch' by Richard T. RitenbaughThe descendants of Israel, scattered from their God-given homeland by war, captivity, and migration, eventually settled in northwestern Europe and later colonized distant lands, forming great nations such as the United States, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand. Most modern Israelites remain unaware of their identity and the future that awaits them. Despite their wealth and technological advancements, these nations also lead in crime, addiction, divorce, and other societal ills, embodying a paradox of progress and evil. This excess of sin will bring severe consequences, as God, deeply involved in world events, will punish His people for their rebellion with war, captivity, and exile, just as in ancient times. Yet, God's love for Israel endures, and His discipline aims to provoke repentance. Though Israel remains stiff-necked and stubborn, refusing to yield until they endure great devastation, God will eventually gain their attention. Once they turn to Him, He will swiftly deliver them, orchestrating a second exodus during a time of immense trouble for Jacob. God will regather Israel not for mere nostalgia but to bring them to conversion, desiring them to once again be a model nation, demonstrating His way to the world. In the Millennium and beyond, with Israel restored to its land and fulfilling its role, the earth will know peace, prosperity, and security. The remnant of Israel, living by God's ways, will assist in the conversion of the world and raise their children in righteousness. God will purify them, giving them a pure language to worship Him truly as a holy nation. Under the reign of a resurrected David and Jesus Christ, Israel will thrive, with a new Temple and strict adherence to God's way. Even into eternity, Israel will remain prominent in God's government, their names on the gates of the New Jerusalem, bringing joy to God forever. Though the coming days are dark, Israel's future holds glorious salvation. God is working out His purpose to bring Israel into His Family and grant them eternal life in His Kingdom. Despite severe chastening for their sins, with many perishing, those who remain will be humbled and ready to submit to God, pleading for His forgiveness and redemption, which He will gladly provide.
