Power Belongs to God (Part Two)

'Personal' from John W. Ritenbaugh

We must recognize that Satan's powers, though formidable, are strictly limited by God. As a magnificent and mighty being with innate abilities far beyond any fleshly creation, satan possesses significant strength, as seen in passages like Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28. However, his power is not unlimited. According to Job 1:6-12, satan operates only within the boundaries God has set, having only the power God created in him and the latitude to use it as God permits for His purposes. Despite the horrible events on earth that might suggest otherwise, satan's influence is always under God's sovereign control, meted out to accomplish what God desires.
