The academicians of Paul's time were no different from current academicians, who have swallowed Darwin's hypothesis, claiming that apes were our ancestors.

Creation Stewardship

Feast of Tabernacles Sermon by Martin G. Collins

Creation reveals God's glory, wisdom, power, and love, leaving everyone without excuse before Him (Romans 1:20-21). The order, design, and abundance of nature point to a Designer, Creator, and Sustainer, as Psalms 19, 104, and 148 and Job 38 show. Seven provisions of creation display God's genius: the earth's energy exchange with the sun (including the thin ozone shield), soil building, cycling and recycling, water purification, fruitfulness and biodiversity, global circulations of air and water (a type of God's breath that gives life), and the human ability to learn from creation. That last provision is the most important. Solomon sends the sluggard to the ant, and Jesus tells His hearers to consider the lilies of the field, so nature serves as a moral and practical teacher. Creation also shows God's providence in blessing and in judgment, as when He withholds rain from the disobedient. Even unconverted people, who cannot read the Bible and see God's genius, learn it through living in creation, and in the Millennium they will draw closer to God through it. Human sin mutes this testimony by degrading the very provisions that reveal Him. Creation is to be respected as God's work, never worshipped, because He is the Creator and not the created (Colossians 1:16-17). Believers are to care for it as stewards so that they do not erase the marks of its Designer.

An atheist rationalizes his belief in no God by stating that suffering could no longer be blamed on an omniscient deity, allowing him to live without guilt.

New Covenant Priesthood (Part Three)

Without thanksgiving and praise, our prayers degenerate into the 'gimmes' with the emphasis on the self. We must give God thoughtful thanks in every circumstance.

The Holy Spirit and the Trinity (Part Two)

Sermon by John W. Ritenbaugh

There are varieties of spirit, motivating people to 'go with the flow' and conform to a sheep-like mob psychology. Satan's spirit encourages sinfulness.
