The High Places (Part Six)
CGG Weekly by David C. GrabbeThough we will probably never be tempted to burn incense to a pagan god on top of a hill, the high places of old still contain warnings for us.
Offering Profane Fire
Sermonette by Craig SablichIt's not about a church building, an organization, or a denomination. It's about a way of life, a system of belief God Himself designed. God has always made it clear that there is one law, one covenant, and one way of worship. Throughout Scripture, He never authorized multiple systems of obedience. We are called to walk in all His ways, to love Him, and to keep His commandments and statutes for our good. This is not about control or loss of free will, but about a relationship shown through obedience. As our understanding grew, we chose to return to God's true Sabbath, to the faith once delivered, to the system He designed. This is about walking the same path Jesus walked, the path of Abraham, Moses, and the apostles, returning to God's way rather than creating something new. We are here today on God's Sabbath because we've chosen to live in His system, to worship in the way He recognizes, to obey in the way He defines, and to embrace the faith that existed before culture, politics, and human tradition reshaped it. When God says, come out of her, My people, He is calling for a willingness to listen, to trust Him enough to obey, and to worship Him on His terms. That is simply faith, lived according to God's way of life. This is not a one-time decision, but an everyday commitment to a life fully His, fully obedient, worshiping according to His authority.
Leadership and Covenants (Part Eight)
'Personal' from John W. RitenbaughProverbs 14:12 reveals that, when men follow a way of life that they think is right, it ultimately ends in death. Only God's way of life results in more life.

The Commandments (Part Eight)
Sermon/Bible Study by John W. RitenbaughIn our hectic culture, we commit far too little time to God, depriving ourselves of the Holy Spirit and attenuating the faith required to draw close to God.
Knowing God
Feast of Tabernacles Sermon by John W. RitenbaughThe pursuit of a unified mind and a singular way of life is central to becoming one with God. Jesus Christ emphasizes this in John 17:11 and 17:20-23, praying fervently that His followers may be one as He and the Father are one, highlighting the profound importance of unity with Them. This oneness is not merely a spiritual ideal but a practical directive to live as They live, aligning our lives with Their way, as no other way of life is acceptable or in harmony with Theirs. In Ezekiel 33:11, God declares, "As I live, says the Lord GOD," urging Israel to turn from their evil ways and live as He does. This is a clear call to imitate His manner of living, to walk in His steps, and to reject the divided mind that leads to destruction. God's unchanging nature, as affirmed in Deuteronomy 6:4, where He is declared as one, underscores His wholeness and unity, a stark contrast to human fickleness and division. His mind is undivided, always constant, and directed toward completing His purpose, as seen in Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 13:8, where He and Jesus Christ are described as unchanging. This singular way of life requires discipline and a rejection of the world's distractions, as human nature often rebels against such focus. Israel's history, as recorded in Isaiah 65:2 and throughout Scripture, reveals a consistent failure to adhere to this one way, driven by a desire for variety and disbelief in God's counsel. Yet, God persistently calls us to seek Him, promising in II Chronicles 15:2 and I Chronicles 28:9 that if we seek Him with a perfect heart and willing mind, He will be found. This seeking, fueled by gratitude and passionate desire, as illustrated in Song of Solomon 7:10-13, is the path to defragmenting our divided minds and achieving oneness with Him. Ultimately, Jesus Christ, described in Haggai 2:7 as the desire of all nations, embodies the solutions and unity humanity yearns for. By seeking Him now through prayer, study, meditation, obedience, and heartfelt desire, we prepare to become like Him, whole and complete, living the one way of life that aligns with His eternal purpose.
