It is Done! The Perfect Peace of God

Sermon by Mark Schindler

In the peace offering, Christ is the priest, offeror, and offering. Since all parties share the peace offering as a meal, it exemplifies a peaceful communion.

Peace, Peace (Part One): Peace with God

Sermon by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

The priests and prophets cried peace when there was no peace, offering superficial comfort instead of urging repentance. Nations of the world are never truly at peace, as incessant wars demonstrate. People of the world are not at peace with God, as mounting sins prove. They are not at peace with neighbors, as crime statistics confirm. They are not at peace with themselves, as suicide rates and mental health statistics indicate. Humanity has never known the peace of God that He wants people to live, because iniquities separate them from God and make peace impossible. The way of peace they have not known, and there is no justice in their ways. They have made themselves crooked paths, and whoever takes that way shall not know peace. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. Only those who have made the New Covenant with God have access to the two types of peace available to believers. These must be sought, maintained, and nurtured. God supplies what He supplies, but much remains for people to do so that this atmosphere of peace can grow. The first type is more of His doing, yet people must still come out of the world with His help. If they seek these two types of peace, struggle to maintain them, and nurture them to growth, then the abundant life that Christ promises will be theirs.

Restoration and Forgiveness

Sermon by Martin G. Collins

It is impossible to grow spiritually in a climate of animosity and jealousy. If we use the power of God's Holy Spirit, peace will accrue as a fruit.

The Cost of Reconciliation

Sermon by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

Reconciliation is the product of a sacrifice to pacify the wrath of an offended person. We must imitate Christ in His approach toward hostility from others.

Offerings (Part Four)

Sermon/Bible Study by John W. Ritenbaugh

The peace offering symbolizes the abundant life that results from complete devotion to God (the burnt offering) and service to others (the meal offering).

Accepted in the Beloved

Sermon by Charles Whitaker (1944-2021)

In the greater church of God, amidst schisms of doctrine, personality conflicts, and self-aggrandizement, the peace of God seems to be dwindling away.

As Much as Depends on You

Sermon by Martin G. Collins

Though we are sometimes confronted with conflict, we have a duty to make peace through exercising love. Unity and peace are fruits of God's Spirit.

Fruit of the Flesh - On Conflict

Sermonette by

As God's chosen saints, we must not let our keyboard or mouth defile us. Godly conversation includes stifling the urge to win the argument at all costs.
