This prohibition extends to any representation of Jesus Christ, who is God. Statues and images purportedly of Christ bear no resemblance to His true appearance, often portraying Him with long hair and soft, feminine features, contrary to the masculine depiction in the Bible. Such representations give a false impression of the true Jesus Christ in every respect.
