Salvation's opportunity is extended to all humanity through resurrections at different times. After the Millennium, during the Great White Throne Judgment, billions who never knew God's way will be raised to physical life. This second resurrection offers their first true chance to understand and accept salvation through Christ, the only door to eternal life. They will be judged by their works, given time to learn and obey God's truth. Most will qualify for eternal life in the God Family, while those who reject God's way face eternal death. God desires all to repent and live righteously, creating a new heaven and earth for those who accept His calling.

Holy Days: The Eighth Day

Bible Study by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

The Eighth Day, occurring immediately after the Feast of Tabernacles, represents a profound period beyond the Millennium, ushering in an extraordinary era of salvation. During this time, the vast majority of humanity—rich and poor, young and old, free and slave, men and women—will be resurrected to mortal life and given the opportunity to inherit eternal life. Billions will qualify to join the God Family through this merciful process. However, those who refuse to repent and submit to God's way will face the Lake of Fire and the second, eternal death. This holy day foreshadows the Great White Throne Judgment, a time when God will extend salvation to all who never had the chance during their prior lives. After the Millennium, God will raise to physical life those from the 6,000 years of human history who were uncalled, offering them the same opportunity for salvation as He does to Israel. If they meet God's judgment, He will grant them eternal life and spiritual bodies. God judges all by the same standard, giving those in the second resurrection sufficient time to learn, obey, and overcome, just as His elect do now. Following this judgment period, God will create a new heaven and a new earth, a pure world where death, sorrow, and pain are no more, and those who have accepted His way will be glorified as members of the God Family, living forever with Him.

Basic Doctrines: The Second Resurrection

Bible Study by Martin G. Collins

God has an orderly plan for salvation, resurrecting different groups of people at different times, every man in his own order, implying a succession of resurrections. The Bible reveals that not all the dead are resurrected simultaneously; while truly faithful Christians will be raised to immortality at Jesus Christ's second coming, others must wait in their graves until later times. Salvation comes only through Christ, who is the door, and no one can enter the Kingdom of God by any other way. God will not resurrect the unjust dead merely to cast them into destruction; instead, He will raise those who were deceived and never understood His way, revealing His plan of salvation to them for their first real opportunity to hear, understand, and follow His way of life. God desires all mankind to receive the gift of salvation, requiring repentance and righteous living, and He is responsible to grant people the knowledge of the truth at the proper time. In the resurrection of judgment, God will raise many from their graves to learn the truth and have their opportunity to walk in it, deciding their fates based on how they live, saving most but allowing some in stubborn rebellion to condemn themselves to eternal death. God Himself has kept Israel from understanding His truth in this age, allowing only a limited number to be called now, while the rest will rise in the second resurrection to have their opportunity for salvation. The second resurrection, occurring in the Great White Throne Judgment after the Millennium, will see the uncalled raised to physical existence in an environment most conducive to salvation, where the books of the Bible will be opened to reveal true knowledge and understanding, and the Book of Life will be opened for their names to be written upon repentance and acceptance of Christ as personal Savior. During this time, they will be judged according to their works, as God, in His mercy and wisdom, seeks to bring the most sons to glory and eternal life in His Kingdom.

Death Is Not the End (Part Five)

CGG Weekly by Richard T. Ritenbaugh

The Bible reveals that all humanity will have an opportunity for salvation through a resurrection from the dead. This second resurrection, occurring after the Millennium of Christ's reign and satan's final rebellion, includes every human who has ever lived and not already been changed to spirit. During the Great White Throne period, each person's individual works and manner of life will be evaluated. It is not God's desire to condemn them to eternal death, as He wants everyone to come to repentance. For these people, this resurrection will be their first opportunity to accept God's invitation to eternal life. They will awake to a paradise on earth, made beautiful and prosperous under the care of the sons of God, and will be judged as His church is judged now, for the purpose of granting them salvation if they accept His calling and submit to His way of life.

The Sovereignty of God: Part Seven
