Martin Collins, reiterating that Romans 8 provides assurance that we are of God, asks us to consider that the sufferings we go through now are miniscule compared to the glory which we will later receive, completely eclipsing the glory of Adam and Eve before their fall. Our suffering is temporal, fleeting, and momentary, as compared to our glory which will be eternal. Though our outer body wastes away, our inner being waxes more powerful. Sadly, we are limited by our mortality and our materialism from seeing the full picture which God has been revealing to us; Paul wants us to take the time to think it though. The whole material creation has been subject to futility; we groan, Creation and the Holy Spirit, both personified by Paul, groan. Nature is not a self-perfecting entity, but an entity subject to decay and entropy. People who do not know God will either worship or destroy the creation instead of worshipping its Creator. Either way, they are slaves to nature, cursed by Adam's sin. We, as God's called out ones, also groan waiting for our redemption into spirit bodies, enabling us to see God as He is. Our groaning is more akin to the expectant groaning of a woman in childbirth, awaiting a new life. Childbirth pangs last relatively for a short time compared to the aftermath blessing. We groan in hope, realizing that our bodies will be delivered in future glory, when we experience adoption into the very family of God, the final trajectory of our hope.
John Ritenbaugh, reflecting on the early success of such philosophers as Nietzsche, Darwin, Mill and Marx, suggests that they had no competition from alternative electronic media as they mesmerized their adoring sycophant educators in public education and throughout the universities. What these philosophers taught had no competition from other media. The educators sought their diversion through reading and talking about what they had read. American philosopher and educator John Dewey immersed himself in the works of Rousseau, Darwin, and Marx, applying their doctrines to his Humanist Manifesto, a work has molded and shaped the direction and outlook of American, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian educational philosophies, crafting societies which endorse abortion, the disintegration of the family, the ascendancy of the state, and the expulsion of God, and the eradicating of individualism, preparing a gullible people for socialism, Communism, and oppressive international collectivism and politically correct robot unity.
John Ritenbaugh reminds us that although Charles Darwin was a racist and a mentally-ill sadist, nevertheless his influence is titanic, outstripping not only the influence of every other philosopher who as ever lived as well as the influence of the Holy Bible. Before his writings (now thoroughly debunked by responsible scientists) filtered into the university curriculum, only a modicum of scientists claimed to be atheists. That number has shot up exponentially over the last hundred years or so. Even though most of modern science have rejected his scientific conclusions (no missing link joining one species to another species has ever been found), modern science did not reject his atheism. Higher education, thoroughly contaminated by the theory of evolution, has filled young skulls with the mush of anti-God progressive humanism. Even in church-related colleges, less than 1% maintain a God-centered educational program.
John Ritenbaugh, continuing his expose of philosophers whose writings have wreaked more havoc on civilization than all military exploits combined, focuses on the life of Charles Darwin, whose book The Origin of the Species, ignited the childish, blind faith in evolution, a mindset which attempts to obliterate God out of the minds of people. Amazingly, Darwin, like Marx, started his life as an ardent proponent of organized religion, even studying for the ministry, but in his teenage years, his mind had become twisted, leading him to commit sadistic acts of cruelty against animals, smashing the heads of birds with a hammer, killing animals for pleasure. Darwin was not only racist, but a victim of agoraphobia. His hypochondria, the fear of all kinds of dread diseases, actually developed the delusion that he had murdered God. His blasphemous tome, The Origin of the Species, while placing some window-dressing appeal to people of faith, totally rejected God as Creator and Designer, yielding to the Zeitgeist which wanted to become independent from religious and moral restraint, and especially from the sovereignty of God.
Martin Collins, continuing his expose of the United Nations Environmental Project, a movement which has evolved into a pagan earth worship, a religion attempting to impose a kind of earth-worship with a new covenant with mother earth. This movement espouses a new environmental ethic, an eco-spirituality designed to enforce a global reference for earth and an international, intercultural, and interfaith earth sabbath. UNEP has targeted the seemingly naïve leaders of the mainstream Protestant churches, which have already fallen for the surreptitious "Only One Earth" pitch, confessing their collective environmental sins, agreeing to decorate their churches with pictures of the earth and share their worship with other species. God's instructions to mankind included subduing the earth, tending and keeping it, but not to worship it as a kind of pagan goddess.

Every human being fears that he is going to lose something of value and develops a flight or fight protective mechanism to maintain a stable self-image. Richard Ritenbaugh, reporting on an activity that has been going on for the past seven years, namely Evolution Sunday or Evolution Weekend, a convocation of Robert Stevens to honor the birthday of Charles Darwin and his theory of evolution, wherein he calls on religious authorities to recant their belief of the scriptural account of creation and accept Darwin's theory and the 'scientific explanation for creation. A number of clergy from 'enlightened' churches have initiated a Clergy Letter Project, affirming their faith in scientific explanation as opposed to the 'unenlightened biblical explanation.' The main problem for faith in evolution is that man's span of life is a little over 70 years, while the origin of life goes back thousands of years, a time span which is well beyond the purview of science in the best of conditions. Jesus Christ affirmed the scriptural account of the creation as well as the flood. To believe evolution is to deny Christ. Though the perpetrators of Evolution Sunday and Evolution Weekend and the Clergy Letter Project attempt to characterize their efforts as representing a vast number of clergy, in truth the 13,000 participants, largely leftist, secular progressive, homosexual, feminist, Episcopal, Unitarian-Universalist, Moslem, and secular Jewish groups, do not even constitute 2% of the 500,000 total estimated clergy currently in the United States. Evolution Sunday or Evolution Weekend hardly qualifies as a "flash in the pan."
Because of the secular humanist coverage of the mainstream media, it is generally thought that evolutionary thinking is the majority view. There are varieties of spirit (generated through advertising, cheerleading, or political rallies) motivating people to "go with the flow," conforming to a sheep-like mob psychology. Satan begets or inspires a spirit or mood (Ephesians 2:2; John 8:44) that captivates all of us before our calling, leading us to follow sinful appetites. God's Spirit is vastly different in that 1) it is holy, 2)provides a tap into infinite knowledge, and 3) provides us an interface with the mind, wisdom, and character of God (I Corinthians 2:9).
