Transgenderism: Erasing the Created Order
'WorldWatch' by Richard T. RitenbaughThe issue of transgenderism in sports, exemplified by Lia Thomas, formerly Will Thomas, highlights a significant controversy. Thomas, after swimming for the University of Pennsylvania's men's team, transitioned and began competing on the women's team in late 2021 following testosterone-suppression treatments as mandated by the NCAA. Competing against biological females, Thomas has dominated races, breaking numerous records with ease, often by significant margins. Despite the treatments, Thomas retains a biological male's physical advantages, including strength and lung capacity, rendering competition unfair in the eyes of many observers. This unfairness is echoed by athletes like Madison Kenyon from Idaho State University, who has lost competitions to biological males identifying as women. Kenyon argues that biology and common sense affirm the inherent differences between men and women, a disparity that testosterone suppression cannot fully address. She emphasizes that placing male athletes in women's sports is not only physically unfair but also poses risks in contact sports. Kenyon and others, including transgender individual Caitlyn Jenner, advocate for protecting women's sports from the inclusion of biological males, asserting that such policies disregard the needs and identities of female athletes in favor of progressive ideologies. The redefinition of sex and gender by the progressive Left, as part of the Sexual Revolution, further fuels this debate. Historically, sex denoted the biological male-female binary, while gender was a grammatical classification. Since the 1950s, gender has been redefined as a personal or social construct, encompassing a person's self-identification or societal perception, leading to over a hundred diverse gender identities. This shift reflects a broader societal rebellion against the created order of human sexuality, moving away from the biological truths evident in our very genes.
Anything Goes (Part One): Transparency for the Transgender Agenda
'WorldWatch' by Joseph B. BaityThe transgender movement, identified as the T within the LGBT coalition, gained sudden prominence through the public transformation of Bruce Jenner into Caitlyn Jenner, who was presented as a courageous figure worthy of widespread acclaim. Transgender persons, previously labeled transsexuals or cross-dressers and sometimes marginalized even within LGB circles, seek to identify as the opposite sex, both sexes at once, or neither. The movement asserts that this desire, once regarded as a symptom of psychosis, is instead natural, healthy, and normal, while any effort to suppress or correct it is portrayed as unhealthy, cruel, discriminatory, and ignorant. Official definitions reinforce this stance, with GLAAD describing transgender as an umbrella term for those whose gender identity or expression differs from the sex assigned at birth, and the New York City Commission on Human Rights Law expanding gender to encompass a person's self-image, appearance, behavior, or expression regardless of traditional associations with the legal sex assigned at birth. This framework allows any individual, irrespective of age, to demand societal accommodation of chosen identity. Advancement of the cause required first revising the American Psychiatric Association's diagnostic standards, replacing the earlier designation of Gender Identity Disorder with Gender Dysphoria in 2012 after sustained lobbying; the new term frames the issue as emotional distress arising from perceived incongruence rather than an inherent disorder, thereby relocating the problem to external intolerance. Media outlets then amplified sympathy by casting supporters as tolerant and opponents as uneducated haters, showcasing transgender themes across numerous television programs and films, awarding Jenner the 2015 Courage Award, and generating favorable coverage in major publications and social platforms. These developments form part of a larger campaign that elevates the status of LGBT lifestyles to that of protected minorities, secures legal normalization, and seeks to penalize religious or critical opposition.
The LGBTQ Cultural Revolution (Part One)
Commentary by Martin G. CollinsGender identity activists have pushed the Australian Human Rights Commission to recognize an expanding list of genders beyond male and female, including transgender, transsexual, intersex, agender, genderfluid, genderqueer, pansexual, third gender, and others, bringing the total to twenty-three when combined with earlier categories such as homosexual, lesbian, bisexual, and queer. This proliferation reflects a deliberate effort by cultural revolutionaries to redefine the term gender itself and to demand that society grant individuals a civil right to choose and alter their gender at will, with the state enforcing such choices through anti-discrimination laws, funding, and compulsion. The movement presents transgenderism as a matter of personal identity and expression that may differ from biological sex, sometimes involving medical transition, yet the material describes these claims as biologically and psychologically impossible. Experts such as Dr. Paul R. McHugh have characterized sex-reassignment surgery as ineffective, noting that it produces only feminized men or masculinized women rather than genuine changes in sex, and have labeled transgenderism a mental disorder that surgical intervention cannot resolve but instead exacerbates. The World Health Organization similarly classifies the condition as a mental disorder. Biblical teaching reinforces this stance, as Deuteronomy 22:5 prohibits even the wearing of clothing that pertains to the opposite sex, declaring such acts an abomination to the Lord. The social normalization of transgenderism functions as a widespread delusion that pressures individuals to abandon reason and participate in affirming what objective reality contradicts, thereby enslaving participants in a destructive pattern opposed to God. This agenda forms part of a broader cultural revolution aimed at undermining the sanctity of marriage and the family while advancing the lie that human desire can override the created order. Scripture in Romans 1:24-28 describes how God gives people over to uncleanness and vile passions when they exchange the truth for the lie and serve the creature rather than the Creator. Satan exploits this confusion to divide minds, promote perversion without limit, and lead participants toward misery and early death, all while distracting society from genuine moral and spiritual concerns.
