Moral decay pervades society as absolute truth and the distinction between good and evil are dismissed, rejecting God's standards given to Israel. Laws once upheld moral conduct but now erode under liberal claims that morality cannot be legislated, separating law from divine morality. Practices like homosexuality, abortion, and euthanasia, deemed abominations, bring catastrophic consequences, as seen in Sodom and Gomorrah. Personal sins impact entire nations, contradicting the notion of private morality. Public schools and courts banish God's law, enforcing a neutrality opposed to divine standards, while media and education promote immorality. This rejection of God's morality, influenced by satanic rebellion, fosters a culture of death and destruction, undermining trust and virtue.

Whose Morality Are We Following?

Sermon by Martin G. Collins

The Israelitish nations have entered an era where the concept of absolute truth and the distinction between good and evil are dismissed. Universal moral standards are no longer upheld as the benchmark for proper conduct. Once, government laws protected public health, safety, and morals by restricting practices such as prostitution, pornography, gambling, and recreational drug use. However, there has been a steady erosion of these moral laws, driven by liberal leaders who argue that morality cannot be legislated in a free society. They assert that freedom is supreme, and no one should impose moral judgment, labeling such restrictions as judgmentalism. This societal shift has led to a separation of law and morality, with morality being relegated to a private sphere. Intellectuals designate areas like sexuality as private matters, focusing only on harm and consent, disregarding traditional moral boundaries. This is in stark contrast to the instructions God gave to the descendants of Israel. The prevalence of practices such as homosexuality, deemed abominations, brings catastrophic consequences to any nation that condones or fails to oppose them. Historical examples like Sodom and Gomorrah, as well as Greece and Rome, illustrate how rampant moral decay, including sodomy, precedes the fall of nations and empires. The notion of private morality is illogical when life cannot be divided into separate public and private spheres. Individuals are responsible to God and fellow man in all aspects of life. Personal sins, even those considered private, affect entire nations and the world at large. The secular belief that moral questions should not reference any particular faith ignores the necessity of a divine standard for true righteousness. Legislation inherently concerns moral action, raising the question of whose morality is being promoted. Abortion exemplifies this moral decadence, revealing a spiritual bankruptcy in nations that legalize it. It is not merely a legal issue but a profound moral one, as life is a loan from God and belongs to Him. The legalization of practices like euthanasia further demonstrates this decline, reflecting a culture of death rooted in humanly reasoned morality devoid of divine law. This culture glorifies violence in media while condemning it in society, and it justifies the killing of the inconvenient, whether unborn children or others deemed undesirable. The paganization of culture stems from turning away from God's morality, leading to destruction. Public schools and courts are forbidden to reference divine laws, enforcing a supposed neutrality that is inherently opposed to God's standards. Mainstream religious institutions, claiming to represent divine morality, often support practices contrary to God's law, further imposing distorted ethics on society. This pervasive moral decay, influenced by satan's rebellion, results in a society that disintegrates individuals and communities, undermining trust and virtue through practices that strip the body of dignity and treat it as a commodity. Evil prevails when not suppressed by a culture aligned with God's standards. The human heart, combined with satanic influence, drives this immorality, evident in acts of violence and moral failure across society. The rejection of God's law is a rejection of true love, resulting in a morality of hate rather than the love embodied in divine commandments. Only a return to God's morality can counter this decline, as it represents the true standard of righteousness and love for others.

Our Moral Bearings Lost

Commentary by John W. Ritenbaugh (1932-2023)

America's moral leadership has lost its moral bearings, reflecting a profound decline in the principles and time-tested traditions that once guided national judgments. These moral bearings, rooted in values that shaped family life, business, media, academia, courts of law, and civil government, have been mocked, ridiculed, and violently trashed over time. The scoffing, whether it began in family life or in religious settings, has magnified, leading to a softening of adherence to God's commands and a loss of moral direction. This decay is evident in the inability to judge right from wrong, as seen in the media's excuses for a violent act by an Islamic psychiatrist at Fort Hood, Texas, portraying the perpetrator as a victim despite clear evidence of murder. Similarly, the decision to try confessed 9/11 plotters in a civilian court rather than a military one, despite their admitted guilt and war against the nation, further illustrates this loss of moral clarity. As a nation, there is a staggering, spiritually blind state in every area of community life, compounded by a fear of the wrong things and a mockery toward God that sows a destructive whirlwind.

What's in the Bucket? (Part One)

Commentary by John W. Ritenbaugh (1932-2023)

Gradually, over time, God and morality were banished from public education as unnecessary and as impediments to a good education. The cultural standards in America began to shift, influenced by humanists and secularists who gained prominence in social, governmental, educational, and religious spheres. The combination of humanists and leftists has nearly secured victory in removing any connection to God and morality from public schools. Persecutions against those claiming Christianity have become frequent. The fruits of this educational system are evident as newer generations embrace socialistic policies and principles more than past generations. Surveys of middle schools reveal educational programs for young students that include explicit sexual content, equating such behaviors to simple expressions of affection. Humanists and secularists maintain a stranglehold on American education, convincing many that sin does not matter or that its consequences are negligible and can be lived with. With the Bible no longer regarded as the fixed standard of personal and national righteousness, vast numbers of citizens are left without the moral guides they and their children desperately need.

Is the Tide Turning?

CGG Weekly by David C. Grabbe

Over three decades, this nation has permitted the loss of an estimated 47 million unborn lives, revealing a deep moral decay. What resides in the heart of a people that has allowed such a staggering number of deaths in just 33 years? How many millions will carry the stain of this practice on their consciences, even if laws change? A significant portion of the populace has reached the disturbing belief that an unborn child should bear the consequences of its parents' errors. This malignant selfishness, evident in the acceptance of such practices, is bound to surface in other destructive forms. While legal shifts against abortion show promise, they remain superficial, failing to address the core issue of the human heart's corruption. True transformation awaits a profound change, one that only a divine renewal of heart and identity can bring.
